Welcome to CAB Go!, an initiative by the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) to build Auckland's communities through fun, engaging local challenges. This document outlines how we handle your data and the rules for participating in our April 2026 competition.
2. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Information We Collect:
- Team Names: To identify your progress on the leaderboard.
- Email Addresses: Used solely for secure "Magic Link" login and to contact winners.
- Challenge Answers: Submitted as part of the game.
- Submitted Photos (Optional): If you choose to upload photos for specific tasks, these may be used for internal verification.
- Promotional Photos (Optional): If we ask and you allow us to take your photo in a CAB when you drop off an entry, it may be used for promotional purposes.
How We Use Your Data:
Your data is used to administer the CAB Go! challenge, track scores, and coordinate prize distribution. We will not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Your Rights:
You have the right to access and request correction of any personal information we hold about you. Contact your local CAB office for assistance.
3. Competition Rules
By participating in CAB Go!, you agree to the following rules:
- Eligibility: The competition is open to New Zealand residents. Employees of CAB and their immediate families are eligible to play but may be excluded from specific grand prizes.
- How to Enter: Complete tasks in any active CAB Go! challenge area. You can do this via the web app, or by using a printed entry form available for download or pick-up at your local CAB.
- Closing Date: The April 2026 campaign closes at midnight on Thursday, 30 April 2026.
- Winner Selection: All completed entries go into the draw. Winners will be chosen per office in a random draw after the competition closes.
- Prizes: Each CAB office has its own unique and different prizes. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Sponsor-provided vouchers are subject to the sponsor's own terms.
- Safety First: Participants must follow all local laws and safety guidelines while completing challenges. CAB is not responsible for any injury or loss incurred during participation.
